Thanks for answering, I know it's asking a lot.
On the sides of the index_body (where background ebene.jpg shows on the left and right) I would like to be able to use that space.

What do you want to put in there?
I have to say I have never tried this myself.
Since phpbb.com would help you better than I can.

I put other information/links about the site there.
I figured this out in 3.0 but it wasn't easy, I hoped with the newer releases/styles in might be easier to implement. Thanks for your time and consideration.
